Tyrod Taylor’s Leadership Sparks the Offense
Quarterback Tyrod Taylor played a pivotal role in the victory, completing 19 of 33 passes for 172 yards and a touchdown while adding 44 rushing yards and a score. His poise in the final drive — including a 14-yard run and key completions to Adonai Mitchell — set up Folk’s game-winning kick.
Taylor’s performance marked his second consecutive start in place of Justin Fields, and his ability to extend plays kept the Jets’ offense alive in critical moments.

Adonai Mitchell had a career day, hauling in eight receptions for 102 yards and his first NFL touchdown. His 52-yard score in the third quarter was the Jets’ longest pass play of the season. Running back Breece Hall added 68 rushing yards and a touchdown, providing balance to the offense.
On defense, Qwan’tez Stiggers recovered a muffed punt that set up an early Jets touchdown, giving the team just its second takeaway of the season.
Falcons Struggle Despite Bijan Robinson’s Effort
Atlanta’s offense leaned heavily on Bijan Robinson, who rushed for 142 yards and a touchdown while adding 51 receiving yards. Quarterback Kirk Cousins threw for 234 yards and a touchdown, surpassing Johnny Unitas for 17th on the NFL’s all-time passing touchdown list with his 291st career score.
Despite Robinson’s standout performance, the Falcons dropped their sixth game in seven weeks, falling to 4-8 on the season.
Rare Misses and Special Teams Drama
The game featured unusual struggles from both kickers. Folk missed a 55-yarder earlier in the contest, while Atlanta’s Zane Gonzalez was wide right on a 50-yard attempt. Gonzalez later connected from 52 yards, briefly giving the Falcons a 17-14 lead before Folk tied it again with a 32-yarder.
