Aaron Boone was pretty relaxed before elimination Game 3 with the Toronto Blue Jays. Did he know something that most of us did not? It looked bleak early, but the Yankees and Aaron Judge were enthused in the dugout according to Judge.
Down 6-1 early, the ballpark was pretty quiet. Then came the thunder and roar of a blast to left by Judge, a blast to right by Jazz Chisholm and all was right for the night. The bullpen did their job and we are off and running to another decisive game tonight with Game 4.
This is still going to be a monumental effort by the Yankees. Toronto has confidence in the lineup. Hitting has been over the top. In order to send this back Toronto, the Yanks will need to match every run and then some. Look for Bellinger and Stanton to have a big game tonight. Also, expect Schlittler to go at least 5 as an edge with the Bullpen Lineup being offered by Toronto.
It’s going to be a great game 4. Hopefully, we will wake up tomorrow to look forward to more October ball from the New York Yankees.
